Washington, DC: Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial
2018 By Aaron Johnson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Washington D.C. is known for its many monuments and memorials, some of which are relatively new.
For example, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial was unveiled in 2011. This statue is part of a work
in progress on the National Mall, America’s most visited national park. The goal of the National Mall is
to honor men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country, and Dr. King
certainly earned his place. Anderson Design Group handcrafted a vintage travel poster of the Martin
Luther King Jr. Memorial, a proud depiction of the man himself and two young visitors viewing the
memorial. You can order this vintage travel poster art as a framed print, canvas banner, metal sign, or
framed postcard. And to learn more about Dr. King's memorial and others nearby, check out the Washington
D.C. Visitor’s Guide.
