About the Art

Washington, D.C. is the capital of the United States, a truly historic and important region. This area is not actually a part of any U.S. state, but is rather a United States district. Washington D.C. was created by the signing of the Residence Act on July 16th, 1790. The goal was to create a small district between Maryland and Virginia, yet to create a region which was not actually a part of Maryland or Virginia. To celebrate D.C. and the many landmarks within it, Anderson Design Group crafted a vintage travel poster of the Lincoln Memorial, a major D.C. attraction. You can order this retro poster as a vintage art print, framed print, canvas banner, unframed canvas, metal sign, or as a set of notecards or postcards. To learn more about D.C., be sure to check out the Washington D.C. Visitor’s Guide.

Enjoy our art outdoors by ordering your favorite designs on metal signs. Our all-weather, rust-resistant signs are ideal for any porch, barn, fence, warehouse, garage, or bar. Featuring gorgeous color printing, they offer a more casual look than canvases or framed prints.
