Whitaker Point, Arkansas
2016 By Aaron Johnson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Whitaker Point is easily one of the most photographed places in all of Arkansas. This craggy
outcropping of rock reaches out over a steep cliff, offering exploring hikers incredible, panoramic
views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Also called Hawksbill Craig for it’s hawk-like
appearance, this magnificent rock formation is thought to be the highlight of the Ozark National Forest.
Inspired by the rock feature and the natural, permanent viewing point that it offers to visitors, Anderson
Design Group handcrafted a vintage travel poster of the point, hand-styling the artwork in the fashions
of the early-20th century WPA-commissioned works. These retro posters make great gifts for nature
enthusiasts, and they serve as fantastic, affordable home decor as well. To learn more about Whitaker
Point, be sure to check out the Buffalo Outdoor
Center.
Our gorgeous art canvases are made-to-order on high-fidelity printers and stretched onto wood frames with hanging brackets installed. Each work of art features an original illustration by the talented, award-winning artists of Anderson Design Group.
