White Sands National Park: Jack Rabbit
2023 By David Owens, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Anderson Design Group is pleased to collaborate with digital painter David Owens to create a new collection of vivid, loose, masterfully impressionistic poster designs of the 63 American National Parks. In this original illustration, David Owens hand-rendered a unique design of White Sands National Park, which celebrates the dazzling white wonderland of sand that makes this park unique. White Sands National Park preserves
the incredible sand dunes of New Mexico, a unique region where desert sands not unlike the Sahara
Desert have accumulated right here in the United States. The sand is pure white because it is made of
gypsum, compiling and compounding over the years to create the largest gypsum dunefield in the
world. Anderson Design Group’s artist collaborator Kenneth Crane rendered a vintage travel poster of
the park, a unique rendition of the dunes and some of the wildlife that call the dunes home. This classic
and original design is available as a poster, print, canvas, metal sign, banner, notecard, or postcard. And
to learn more about the park or to schedule a trip there, visit the National
Park Service website.
