About the Art
Loons are fascinating birds, a special North American fowl perhaps best known for the haunting,
almost melancholy call it gives off at dusk. The loon is found only in northern states, and most
predominantly in the northeastern section of the U.S. While the loon is common in Canada, the best
U.S. states for seeing one are Minnesota, Michigan, and of course, Wisconsin. Wisconsin has hundreds
of inland lakes, creating the perfect habitat for these elusive birds. Anderson Design Group artists drew
and illustrated vintage travel poster art of a group of loons, drawing and coloring in great detail the
plumage and colors of these fascinating birds. You can order this retro artwork as a framed print,
canvas banner, metal sign, or as a set of notecards and postcards.
