Wrangell-St. Elias National Park: Shady Valley
2025 By Arden von Haeger, Joel Anderson
About the Art
The Kennecott Mines National Historic Landmark is in the heart of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve, America’s largest national park. Covering over 13 million acres of protected land, the park dwarfs other protected lands. This park is further unique in that it contains some of the tallest mountains in North America, yet these startling peaks are only a few miles from the ocean. This means that the altitude gain is very steep, creating startling views like no other. Anderson Design Group collaborated with master artist and painter Arden von Haeger to create this hand-rendered illustration. Arden's classic style conveys grandeur, romance, and nuance. His inventive use of color and his unique Art Deco styling deliver a delightful new take on some of America's most iconic destinations. This retro design and original national park art is available as a poster, print, canvas, mini canvas, metal sign, notecard, or postcard. To learn more, visit the Pew Charitable
