Yosemite National Park: Half Dome Vista

Half Dome is an impressive, iconic mountain in Yosemite National Park. What makes this peak unique is that the upper section of the mountain is one, solid granite formation. From the valley floor, it looks as though part of the dome crumbled away, but this is not the case. It is more likely that both volcanic activity and glacial formations over millions of years formed this unique mountain into what it is today. Anderson Design Group illustrated in fine detail the stark awe of this mountain's vertical face, an image of sheer natural power. The illustration depicts a hiker, pausing to take in the dome.
