Alaska: Homer
2019 By Derek Anderson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Welcome to Homer, Alaska. Homer is a fishing town on the stunning Alaskan Kachemak Bay. Homer
is an “end of the road” city, being the final designation of the Sterling Highway. Homer is the halibut
fishing capital of the world and the “City of Peonies.” Homer is also known for its kayaking,
destination weddings, fantastic hiking, and great food opportunities. And did we mention bear
watching? To celebrate one of Alaska’s best places to view bears, Anderson Design Group handcrafted
a vintage travel poster of two cubs frolicking on the outskirts of Homer. This retro artwork was styled
after the WPA-commissioned travel posters of the mid-20th century. You can order this poster art as an
art print, canvas, framed print, metal sign, canvas banner, framed postcard, or as a set of notecards or
postcards. To learn more about Homer and other Alaskan travel destinations, check out Travel
Alaska.
Our gorgeous art canvases are made-to-order on high-fidelity printers and stretched onto wood frames with hanging brackets installed. Each work of art features an original illustration by the talented, award-winning artists of Anderson Design Group.
