About the Art
As Lexington, Kentucky is home to Transylvania University, the University of Kentucky, and
Bluegrass Community and Technical College, it is no surprise that this city ranks tenth in the entire
nation for educational attainment. No less than 39 percent of the city’s residents have at least a
bachelor degree. Lexington is also the horse capital of the world and the hub of the state’s Bluegrass
region. Anderson Design Group hand-illustrated this turn-of-the-century artwork of historic downtown
Lexington, a must-see for visitors to the city. Hang this vintage travel poster from your wall as a
pleasant keepsake of a great vacation, or show your city or college pride with a stack of notecards or
postcards to give to friends and family.
