About the Art
A true paradise like no other, Aruba is often thought to be the gem of the Caribbean. This island is a
constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The island is about 70 square miles in size and
is home to a little over 104,000 people. Aruba is best known for its stunning beaches and crystal clear
waters. In fact, the island is a popular destination for cruise ships for that exact reason. Lovers of island
adventures and the majestic brilliance of the Caribbean, Anderson Design Group was motivated to
handcraft vintage travel poster art of the island and some of its beautiful, Flamingo inhabitants. This
illustration was styled after the WPA-commissioned travel art of the early-1900s, a truly unique time
period during the Golden Age of Illustration. To learn more, check out the Aruba Tourism Authority.
