About the Art
Quoting directly from the writings of the National Park Service, “Bandelier National Monument protects over 33,000 acres of rugged but beautiful canyon and mesa country as well as evidence of a human presence here going back over 11,000 years. Petroglyphs, dwellings carved into the soft rock cliffs, and standing masonry walls pay tribute to the early days of a culture that still survives in the surrounding communities.”
Many would call it a hidden gem, because while Bandelier National Monument has been protected by the park service for years, it has not garnered the mass visitation that other anthropological sites like it have. For example, while Bears Ears National Monument garners about 750,000 visitors per year, Bandelier National Monument only receives about 90,000 visitors per year.
Bandelier National Monument is a 33,677-acre United States National Monument near Los Alamos in Sandoval and Los Alamos counties, New Mexico. The monument preserves the homes and territory of the Ancestral Puebloans of a later era in the Southwest. To celebrate the site, Anderson Design Group's poster artists rendered this classic poster design in the tradition of the Golden Age of Poster Art. This retro-styled rendering and vintage poster art will look great as an art print, notecard, postcard, metal sign, canvas, or mini canvas.
