Big Bend National Park: Made In The Shade
2024 By Mary Withers Kirkland, Joel Anderson
About the Art
What could be better than to enjoy the beauty of a stunning desert landscape from the shade of a towering canyon wall? The National Park Service described it best, “There is a place in Far West Texas where night skies are dark as coal and rivers carve temple-like canyons in ancient limestone. Here, at the end of the road, hundreds of bird species take refuge in a solitary mountain range surrounded by weather-beaten desert. Tenacious cactus bloom in sublime southwestern sun, and species diversity is the best in the country.” Pictured above is an original collaborative piece made by artist Mary Withers Kirkland and Anderson Design Group. This national park poster is the perfect addition to your home or office decor or an excellent national park gift for the enthusiast in your family. The original national park art will look great as a print, poster, notecard, postcard, metal sign, canvas, or mini canvas. This hand-rendered design is fashioned in the style of vintage poster art and the iconic 20th century travel art that first promoted the national parks.
