Big Bend National Park: Rio Grande
2019 By Derek Anderson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Big Bend, a National Park of impressive size, is the only park of its kind to also act as an international
border with another country. The river Rio Grande serves as the park’s southern border, allowing
visitors to canoe or kayak down the river with Mexico on one bank and the United States on the other.
The river cuts deep swathes into the rock, creating a tunnel-like sensation as visitors navigate vast
stretches of the river in search of adventure. Anderson Design Group brought that experience to life in
this hand-illustrated National Parks poster. Inspired by the WPA-commissioned artwork of the early-1900s,
this vintage poster art serves as the perfect keepsake from a family trip down the Rio. To learn more about the park, check out the Big Bend
Conservancy.
Our gorgeous art canvases are made-to-order on high-fidelity printers and stretched onto wood frames with hanging brackets installed. Each work of art features an original illustration by the talented, award-winning artists of Anderson Design Group.
