Bristol, Rhode Island: Bristol Ferry Lighthouse

A good example of this phenomenon took place in Rhode Island. The Bristol Ferry Lighthouse was built in 1855 but decommissioned after the Mount Hope Bridge was constructed in 1929. After falling into disrepair, the lighthouse was renovated and is now a private inn.
