Buffalo River: Arkansas
2024 By Derek Anderson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
One of the responsibilities of the National Park Service is to preserve America’s wild and scenic rivers, a mandate that went to the NPS during the expansion of the federal organization in the mid-20th century. Established in 1972, Buffalo National River flows freely for 135 miles and is one of the few remaining undammed rivers in the lower 48 states. Visitors can cruise through the Ozark Mountains down to the White River, experiencing white water rapids, gently flowing expanses, and quiet pools—all surrounded by massive bluffs and breath-taking scenery. Located in Northern Arkansas, the Buffalo National River was the first National River to be designated in the United States. Celebrating this National Park Service site, this national scenic river design and vintage poster art would be perfect for home or office decor. The art also serves as an excellent national park gift for the travel enthusiast in your life. As an original illustration, the design will look great as an unframed print, framed poster, notecard, postcard, metal sign, canvas, or mini canvas. Available in multiple size options, this hand-rendered nature illustration is fashioned in the style of 20th-century vintage art and the iconic travel art that first promoted the national parks and national monuments.
