Capitol Reef National Park: 4-Wheeling
2019 By Derek Anderson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Welcome to Capitol Reef National Park. Designated as a National Park to conserve the Waterpocket
Fold (a 65 million year old warp in the Earth’s crust), Capitol Reef is a beautiful panoply of unique
rock formations, cliffs, escarpments, spires, mesas, and canyons. And while most National Parks have
clear restrictions on the use of motorized vehicles, Capitol Reef offers multiple “roads” where visitors
can adventure across the park in 4WD vehicles. This is a great way to cover a large stretch of the park
in a relatively short amount of time. Get ready for a bumpy ride though! Our artists at Anderson Design
Group love the idea of 4-wheelin’ along the “roads” of Capitol Reef, so we hand-rendered a vintage
travel poster of the park and two off-road vehicles trekking along a ridgeline. Available as a poster,
notecard, postcard, art print, canvas, banner, or metal sign, this classic design makes for the perfect
conversation starter or gift. And to learn more about the natural wonder that is Capitol Reef, check out
the website for the Grand Canyon Trust.
