Carlsbad Caverns National Park: Into The Depths

When we think of National Parks, we usually think of beautiful forests, mountains, canyons, desertscapes, beaches, alpine lakes, blue skies and green grass. But did you know that there are a handful of parks which commemorate and preserve underground wonders too? Carlsbad Caverns National Park is one such park. The park offers beauty and wonder above AND below. Carlsbad Caverns features hiking trails and picnic areas above ground as well as wide and expansive caverns and caves below ground. The underground cavern system is chockfull of stalagmites, stalactites, and other fascinating cave formations. Inspired by the unique wonder of its caves, Anderson Design Group’s artist collaborator Kenneth Crane hand-rendered a vintage design of the park.
