Golden Spike National Historic Park, Utah (Horizontal)

Golden Spike National Historical Park preserves the iconic moment in which railroad workers brought the Central Pacific and Union Pacific railroads together on May 19, 1869. This park commemorates that very event, the completion in 6 1/2 years of the first transcontinental railroad (1,800 miles of hand-built track) in the country.
