Bordering the Baltic Sea, Latvia, Belarus, Poland, and Kaliningrad, Lithuania is an important European country. In fact, at one point in history, Lithuania was the largest country in all of Europe. About 33 percent of Lithuania’s area is covered by hardwood forests, some of which are untouched virgin forests.
