Memphis, TN: Guitar Series (Blues)
2019 By Derek Anderson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Memphis earned the official title “Home of the Blues” in 1977. In the early 1980s, a major
revitalization project began on Beale Street, the music center of the city. But these are just the most
recent efforts to flush new life into the city (and these efforts have certainly been successful, as Beale
Street now entertains 11 million visitors per year). Historically speaking, Memphis has been a major
city for Blues music since the early-1900s. To celebrate that history, Anderson Design Group created
this illustration of an electric guitar surrounded by the names of famous Blues musicians. Perfect for a
Blues fan or a Memphis native, this handcrafted vintage poster art adds a special style to any home’s
decor and is an instant conversation starter. To learn more about the current Blues scene in Memphis,
