MO—Visit Missouri: Wilson's Creek National Battlefield
2023 By Derek Anderson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Historical preservation is a critical part of each state’s civic responsibilities. In Missouri, Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield, located near the town of Republic, was designated to preserve the site of the Battle of Wilson's Creek. Fought on August 10, 1861, the battle was the first major American Civil War engagement that occurred west of the Mississippi River, marking the spread of the war to the western states. To honor the memory of those who fought and died in the battle, the artists of Anderson Design Group have made this classic design and vintage poster art. The original illustration is available for purchase as a poster, canvas, metal sign, postcard, or note card.
