Mobile, AL: Mardi Gras
2020 By Derek Anderson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Mobile is often described as a cultural melting pot, a place where a wide range of people from all walks
of life come together as one voice. Once called the Paris of the South, it should come as no surprise that
Mobile has some of the best festivals, events, and celebrations in the region. Case in point, did you
know that Mobile is the birthplace of Mardi Gras? The first celebration dates all the way back to the
early-1700s! Inspired by the beauty and joy of the annual celebration, Anderson Design Group
rendered a vintage travel poster of downtown Mobile during a Mardi Gras parade. Available as a
classic poster, vintage print, canvas, banner, metal sign, postcard, or notecard, this artwork would make
a wonderful centerpiece or gift! And to learn more about Mobile or to schedule a vacation there, check
