About the Art
When we think of Mongolia, we immediately think of the unstoppable Genghis Khan. Born in 1162
CE, Genghis Khan was the founder of the Mongol Empire, the “King of Kings” as he was aptly called.
Khan conquered vast territories across Eurasia. At the height of his rule, Khan controlled what is now
modern day China, the Korean Peninsula, Mongolia, parts of Russia, and even parts of Eastern Europe
and Southwest Asia. Seeking to represent Mongolia’s rich history in our own style of vintage poster art,
Anderson Design Group’s critically acclaimed artists rendered an illustration of Genghis Khan Square,
the incredible monument in Mongolia’s capital city of Ulaanbaatar. Our artists fashioned this vintage
art in the styles of early-20th century poster art, capturing the nostalgia of the travel posters of that era.
