A major attraction of New Zealand, Lake Wakatipu is this country’s third largest lake. The lake is nestled between the shoulders of tall mountain peaks on one side and lush forests on the other. Lake Wakatipu is popular for recreational activities, but the lake is also quite important as the main source of freshwater for the city of Queenstown.
