Petrified Forest National Park: Route 66
2025 By Mary Withers Kirkland, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Most national parks are known for their natural landscapes, and while this is also true of Petrified Forest National Park, this particular park is also known for the historic Route 66 that passes through the park. In fact, savvy visitors can sometimes find old car frames from the 1930s covered in sand near the still visible roadbed! To celebrate the park, Anderson Design Group collaborated with digital painter Mary Withers Kirkland on a series of classic national park posters. Mary's unique stylization, emotive clouds, and lyrical sense of color capture the drama of this ancient forest turned to stone. This national park poster and vintage national park art is perfect for home or office decor. It also serves as an excellent national park gift for the enthusiast in your family. As an original national park illustration, this design will look great as an unframed print, framed poster, notecard, postcard, metal sign, canvas, or mini canvas.
