Portland, Oregon: Washington Park
2021 By Derek Anderson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Portland, Oregon is known for its stunning, unique, and well-maintained city parks. One of the parks most enjoyed by locals and visitors alike, Washington Park includes a zoo, forestry museum, arboretum, children's museum, rose garden, Japanese garden, amphitheater, memorials, archery range, tennis courts, soccer field, picnic areas, playgrounds, public art, and many acres of wild forest with miles of trails crisscrossing throughout. Washington Park covers more than 458 acres all in all, one of the largest city parks in the state.
One of the must-see aspects of the park is the amazing Japanese Garden, often thought to be the focal point of the park. Considered by many to be the most authentic Japanese Garden outside of Japan, the Portland Japanese Garden is a haven of tranquil beauty in all four seasons.
To celebrate the park and its honoring of Japanese culture, Anderson Design Group has rendered this classic design in the tradition of the Golden Age of Poster Art. This retro-styled artwork will look great as a travel poster, art print, notecard, postcard, metal sign, canvas, or mini canvas.
