The Secret Garden: Frances Hodgson Burnett

Known by the original classic novel and its film adaptation of the same name, The Secret Garden is a story by Frances Hodgson Burnett first published in book form in 1911. Set in England, the book is by far one of Burnett's most popular novels and is seen as a classic of English children's literature. The story follows the life of Mary Lennox, a spoiled, ill-tempered, and unhealthy child who comes to live with her reclusive uncle. There, she discovers the door to a secret garden, neglected and hidden for years. Mary decides to restore the garden, and adventures ensue!
