Timpanogos Cave National Monument, Utah
2025 By Derek Anderson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Timpanogos Cave National Monument proves some of Utah’s best sights are below ground. Due to its geology, the cave features unusual “helictites,” or hollowed, twisted, spiraling straws and fins of deposited calcite or aragonite. Ranger-led tours from May through September help visitors interpret the cave’s natural and human history. The cave also provides a “living laboratory,” a way for the National Park Service to work hand in hand with biologists, geologists, and other earth scientists to study it and learn more. Available as a poster, framed print, notecard, postcard, metal sign, or canvas, this original national park art would look great on any wall. For a full list of national park sites in all 50 states, check out the official website for the National Park Service.
