The Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve is in Jacksonville, Florida. It comprises 46,000 acres of wetlands, waterways, and other habitats in northeastern Duval County. Visitors can explore one of the last unspoiled coastal wetlands on the Atlantic Coast and discover 6,000 years of human history, including Fort Caroline and Kingsley Plantation. Timucuan preserves the beauty of salt marshes, coastal dunes, and hardwood hammocks for everyone to enjoy.
