Townsend, TN: Covered Bridge

Is there anything more American than a covered bridge? Though they are typically associated with the northeastern United States, at least 30 states have at least one historical covered bridge still standing, for a total of 750 authentic covered bridges scattered across the United States. There are currently approximately four surviving covered bridges in Tennessee, one of which is located in Townsend. The Townsend/Sunshine Covered Bridge, as it's called, with its rustic tin roof and curving arches, is built on a structure that has been around for nearly 100 years. Available in multiple size options, this whimsical poster was fashioned in the style of 20th-century vintage wall art and the iconic promotional travel posters that inspired family vacations in the early 1900s.
