Washington, DC: Marine Corps War Memorial

2018 By Derek Anderson, Joel Anderson

Order Summary $21.99

About the Art

The Marine Corps War Memorial is a heart-felt depiction of six marines raising an American flag atop Mount Suribachi during the Iwo Jima invasion in World War II. The Battle of Iwo Jima was one of the bloodiest that Americans fought in that war. The sculpture honors the marines that died in that struggle, a struggle in which American forces ultimately came out victorious. Anderson Design Group artists created an illustration of the memorial, an ADG salute to the men who lost their lives in the Pacific Theatre. An excellent gift for a veteran friend or history enthusiast, a meaningful piece of wall decor, and an instant conversation starter, this vintage travel poster art is available as a framed print, canvas banner, metal sign, or framed postcard.
