About the Art
Established in 1946, the National Air and Space Museum of the Smithsonian Institution offers an
educational and exciting opportunity to learn about man’s greatest ventures into the skies and into
space. The museum depicts various advancements in aeronautics such as the Apollo 11 command
module, the Friendship 7 capsule, Charles Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis, the Bell X-1, the model of
the starship Enterprise, and the Wright brothers' airplane. And that’s just a handful of the incredible
artifacts of history that the museum offers to viewers. To create the perfect gift for lovers of aeronautics
and history alike, Anderson Design Group hand-sketched, painted, and illustrated this vintage travel
poster art of the museum. You can order this retro artwork as a framed print, canvas banner, framed
postcard, or metal sign.
