Whiskeytown National Recreational Area, California
2023 By Derek Anderson, Joel Anderson
About the Art
Located in northern California not far from the city of Redding, the Whiskeytown National Recreational Area was designated in 1965 to preserve the 3,200-acre reservoir formed by Whiskeytown Dam on Clear Creek. The recreational area is most beloved for the swimming, fishing, boating, camping, and hiking opportunities it offers. To celebrate the paths less traveled in national recreation areas (these places receive far fewer visitors than National Parks), Anderson Design Group poster artists hand-rendered an original illustration in the fashion of vintage poster art and travel art. This retro design and wilderness art is available as a poster, print, canvas, mini canvas, metal sign, notecard, or postcard. To learn more about national recreation areas across America, check out the website for the National Park Service.
