Whiskeytown National Recreational Area, California

Located in northern California not far from the city of Redding, the Whiskeytown National Recreational Area was designated in 1965 to preserve the 3,200-acre reservoir formed by Whiskeytown Dam on Clear Creek. The recreational area is most beloved for the swimming, fishing, boating, camping, and hiking opportunities it offers.
