White Sands National Park

In December 2019, Congress approved a new addition to the family of National Parks. Offering a landscape fitting of its namesake, White Sands National Park in New Mexico truly does present incredible “sandscapes.” This is one of the world’s greatest natural wonders. The Park protects and conserves a sea of pure-white sand in the heart of the Tularosa Basin. Wave-like dunes of gypsum sand roll across the landscape when the wind picks up, creating a visage like nothing else on Earth.
