Yellowstone National Park: Roosevelt Lodge

There are many places to see in Yellowstone National Park, and history fans in particular will enjoy the Roosevelt Lodge. For some backstory, the lodge used to be no more than a campsite where Indigenous Americans, fur trappers, and settlers would stop to rest. By the 1920s, the campsite had permanent structures, and today those structures are preserved under the name Roosevelt Lodge Historic District, which includes 130 buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
