Our Greatest Moments from 2025

Our Greatest Moments from 2025

Another year come and gone... 2025 was a big year for Team ADG. What comes to mind first is how thankful we are to our customers and fans who supported our small family business this past year. Every purchase enables our team to do what we love, make art in the tradition of the Golden Age of Illustration and vintage poster art.

The following are a few of ADG's achievements, accomplishments, and popular releases in 2025, notable moments throughout the year where we felt truly blessed to be here doing what we do every day.

(Travel was a big part of our 2025, which we get into in this article. But first, enjoy a snippet of collaborating artist Kenneth Crane and staff writer Ren Brabenec's trip to Alaska's national parks!)

We Got a Head Start on Celebrating America's Semiquincentennial

2026 marks a historic moment for the United States of America. It's the Semiquincentennial! That means the U.S. has been around for 250 years, from 1776 to 2026.

So much of the art we create celebrates the wonder of the U.S., a wonder depicted in travel locations, scenic places, cozy college towns, and historic sites. And as custodians of vintage poster design styles and the timeless traditions of the Golden Age of Illustration, we get a little misty-eyed when we think about American history and the wonder our nation has been blessed with.

To celebrate the semiquincentennial, our artists rendered a selection of commemorative illustrations and poster designs, the perfect way to celebrate a special moment in our country's history. Check out the posters in our American Travel collection.

Anderson Design Group Traveled to Three of Alaska's National Parks

Travel is always a big part of the ethos at Anderson Design Group, as we consider it vital to see as much of the world as we can and to use those experiences as inspiration for future artwork.

In 2025, we launched one of our boldest and most iconic ventures yet, an expedition into three of Alaska's national parks! Collaborating artist Kenneth Crane and staff writer Ren Brabenec traveled to Kobuk Valley and Denali. They tried to get into Gates of the Arctic, but a historic summer snow and windstorm prevented all passage into the entire northern region of the state, so the team had to pivot last minute and explore Wrangell-St. Elias instead.

Check out an artist and traveler's guide to Kobuk Valley here. Our full expedition into Denali can be found here. And our five-day backpacking trip across Wrangell-St. Elias is on display here.

Pictured below: Ken Crane posing in Denali National Park with the book he illustrated (Ren Brabenec researched and wrote it while Joel Anderson guided the project as Creative Director). Also pictured are a few landscape shots from our team's backpacking trip in Wrangell-St. Elias. The last photo is staff writer Ren Brabenec in Kobuk Valley.

Our Friend and Hiker Contributed to Our Blog in a "Ramblin' with Dan" Guest Series

Our friend and colleague, Daniel Pierce, worked with us on multiple books, including Illustrated Guide to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Illustrated Guide to the Grand Circle.

Dan is a real gem. In addition to being a historian, retired professor, and acclaimed author (see his other books here), he's also an avid hiker. Check out our blog pages from early 2025 to see his contributions, where Dan goes into detail on some of his favorite hikes and most harrowing experiences on trails in the U.S. and abroad.

Our Staff Writer Interviewed Four National Park Friend Groups

Every year, we connect with the important friend groups that are doing essential fundraising and volunteering in the national parks. This year we spoke with four organizations that are involved in the day-to-day work of keeping the parks healthy, safe, and maintained so that future generations may enjoy them.

Check out our interviews with the executive directors and support staff at:

Channel Islands Park Foundation
Friends of the Black Canyon and Curecanti
Friends of the Inyo
Friends of Hot Springs National Park

Each of these organizations are staffed by hard-working folks who live in the gateway communities near national parks and other protected lands. It has been an honor to learn about the good works that they're involved in and to do what we can to get the word out about their important preservation efforts.

In addition to interviewing and promoting national park friend groups, in 2025 we also donated a portion of our profits to the National Park Foundation, as well as other friends groups who work to protect and preserve our heritage of wilderness and wonder.

ADG is on YouTube!

You asked, and we listened! ADG is finally branching into the world of video content! We cringe every time we have to use that term "content," but the truth is, we go on so many great adventures around the country and world, it seemed a shame not to document the experiences and post them somewhere.

Check out our YouTube profile and give us a follow!

Our Creative Director Got Our Art Featured in New Places Thanks to New and Exciting Collaborations!

Picture this, and let us set the scene. You're walking down the streets of Paris, and you pop into a boutique shop that sells high-end luxury apparel and accessories. And what do you see when you pick up a beautiful handbag? An ADG design!

ADG Creative Director Joel Anderson always has his eye out for new, creative, and interesting ways our art can be featured, so the collab opportunity with Olympia le Tan was an easy sell for us.

Check out our original illustrations and designs featured on designer handbags for sale online, and in-person in France!

We Launched a New Series of Greeting Card Art with Collaborating Artist Annie Cauffman

Creating a YouTube account wasn't the only thing we did this year to acquiesce to our customers' demands. We heard from you, and we listened! Folks reached out to us for greeting cards, so we collaborated with Colorado-based artist Annie Cauffman on a new series of greeting cards that can also function as beautiful, original wall art.

This collection is still in progress, but at the time of this writing, the mini-series features clever and stylish mod art designs centered around popular holidays, thank-yous, wedding invites, and more. These original illustrations are available as prints, canvases, framed posters, metal signs, or as sets of notecards or postcards.

ADG Artists Took Home Multiple Awards

Another of our collaborating artists, Arden von Haeger, also had a busy year in 2025. He submitted a few of his original designs to multiple art competitions, and, naturally, several of his posters took home prizes!

You can see his collection of ADG work here. Learn more about his awards and recognitions in this interview we did with him.

ADG's "Pocket-Sized Posters" Became an Overnight Customer Favorite

If you haven't yet ordered a set of ADG postcards, you're missing out. If our customers let us know one thing about 2025 product releases that they truly loved, it was absolutely our postcard sets.

In the past year we released a few new postcard sets, and these beauties became overnight sensations. They are popular because the artwork is beautiful and well-printed, the designs are iconic and original renditions, and the postcards are a great way to correspond with friends and family members the old-fashioned way.

Check out the full line-up of postcard sets here.

We Went Behind the Scenes with Mary Withers Kirkland and Annie Cauffman

We're always looking for opportunities to give our customers and followers a behind-the-scenes look into how our artists practice their craft. In 2025, we conducted two in-depth interviews with collaborating artists Mary Withers Kirkland and Annie Cauffman.

Curious about how ADG makes art? How the process happens with absolutely zero influence from artificial intelligence? How other artists can polish their craft? Check out our deep-dives with Mary and with Annie to get a rare look at how our amazing artists make art of the national parks, travel art, mod art, and vintage art.

ADG Expanded its National Parks Collection to Include Monuments, Memorials, Battlefields, Historic Sites, and More!

A few years ago, ADG's in-house artists completed 63 Illustrated National Parks, what would become our most popular, best-selling collection out of over 30 collections and over 3,000 original illustrations.

As we researched the national parks and traveled to them seeking inspiration, we quickly learned about the hundreds of other national park sites, like the monuments, memorials, historic sites, battlefields, recreation areas, lakeshores, seashores, scenic rivers, and more.

How could we depict the flagship 63 national parks without also celebrating the lesser-known yet no-less-beautiful park sites?

In 2025, our art collection that grew the most was undoubtedly the National Monuments and Natural Wonders collection, now home to hundreds of original depictions of America's most beautiful and historic places.

ADG Now Sells More Games Featuring Our Best-Selling Poster Art

If you're looking for something to do with the family this weekend that will keep everyone off their screens, look no further than Anderson Design Group's jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, and board games. We create unique gifts for people who love to travel, camp, hike, and explore.

These products made big appearances in 2025, with new offerings and design styles. They are the perfect way to spend a cozy afternoon with the crew, sans screens and social media!

Last but not Least, Our In-House Studio Artists Created Hundreds of New Original Designs

In 2025, ADG added hundreds of new original illustrations to our poster collections, especially in the categories of world travel, national parks, American travel, literary classics, space travel, holiday poster designs, and more. Check them out on our Collections page.

Here's to a Great 2026!

Our loyal customers ensure that the creation of original art and design keeps happening right here in Tennessee. We couldn't be more thankful for you, because without you, none of this would happen. We thank you so much for using our travel poster art to create conversation pieces about the places you've been, and the memories you cherish!

We are real artists, creating real art for real travel poster lovers. We are artists and printmakers who do not use artificial intelligence. We create classic artwork in the tradition of the 20th Century masters, but that doesn't happen overnight, and we appreciate so much the folks who buy our work, decorate their homes with the art of adventure, and ensure we keep the lights on at our Nashville art studio.

Here's to a great year of art and memories in 2026!
